Technology surveillance: An analysis of global patents in Mexico and the relationship with the generation of patents by Mexican academia from 2016 to 2019

In the course of time, different changes derived in the application and technological scope have been observed. This work aims to analyze the behavior of technological segments and the relationship with patents in Mexican academia, through the study of 30, 343 patents published in Mexico during 2016 to 2019. The methodology consisted of the systematic literature review in SCOPUS to identify the predominant technological concepts, PATENTSCOPE, ESPACENET and SIGA were used for the patent search and Orbit Intelligence for the information processing. The results show the key actors with inventive presence in Mexico and the relationship between the academic technological offer led by the health area.
