Identificación de zonas de riesgo por inundación en la Ciudad de Morelia, Michoacán, y propuesta de un sistema de monitoreo a través de estaciones meteorológicas
Main Article Content
Abstract
The aim of this study is to delineate flood-prone areas in the urban zone of Morelia, in order to devise a climatological monitoring network that forewarns the flood-vulnerable population. To achieve this, historical data on previous floods impacting the City were compiled to identify the most affected regions and consequently define their sphere of influence. This process led to the pinpointing of strategic locations for the installation of monitoring stations. Early Warning Systems play a crucial role in flood risk mitigation, enabling the populace to shield themselves against such events and significantly mitigate the adverse effects of inundations.
