The purpose of this study is to identify potential recharge areas for La Mintzita spring in the state of Michoacán, which is one of the main sources of water supply for the city of Morelia. In recent years its volume has been reduced by 68%, making it imperative to preserve the existing resource. A runoff model is made with WEAP software, with which infiltration in the area is defined and by means of cartographic algebra, the sites with potential recharge zones (PGR) are determined and information on physical and chemical parameters is superimposed.
