Energy evaluation of the integration of an absorption refrigeration cycle and a Tesla turbine in the heat recovery of a low-temperature geothermal organic Rankine cycle
Main Article Content
Abstract
This work presents the energy evaluation of integrating a medium-effect absorption refrigeration cycle and a Tesla turbine in the heat recovery of an organic Rankine cycle activated with low-temperature geothermal energy. The geothermal fluid activates the system under conditions of saturated liquid water at a rate of 10 kg/s and a temperature of 90 °C. The models for energy evaluation are established based on the first principle of thermodynamics and the principle of conservation of mass. The results indicate that the system integrated with the three technologies can achieve a power production of 52.94 kW and an overall energy utilization efficiency of 20.31%.
