Solid waste management and artificial intelligence in the mexican context
Main Article Content
Abstract
In Mexico, solid waste management varies by region. Inadequate practices and limited recycling rates generate serious environmental consequences. AI can improve efficiency: AI-based sorting systems streamline recycling and smart devices separate materials correctly. Internet of Things-based sensors enable real-time monitoring of containers, optimizing waste management. The implementation of AI reduces costs and better allocates resources, generating economic advantages. However, challenges such as data availability and limitations in infrastructure and financing are faced. Successful integration of AI into waste management in Mexico requires addressing these specific challenges
