A Flora and vegetation of cerro La Cruz in the municipality of Zinapecuaro, Michoacan, Mexico

An inventory of vascular plants from cerro La Cruz, located in the northeast of the state of Michoacán; 199 species and 11 infraspecific taxa are listed in 60 families and 140 genera, the most diverse family is Asteraceae and Quercus and Salvia is the most diverse genera. Pine-oak forest is the vegetation present in the study area; however, there are large areas of annual and seasonal crops. 68 taxa are endemic to the country, while 40 are in some risk category: Callitropsis lusitanica (Mill.) D.P. Little (Cupressaceae) is Subject to special protection in NOM-059-SEMANART-2010. Cerro La Cruz shows evidence of human activities, use of timber resources and the presence of non-native species.
