Estudio hipotético de la rotura de la cortina de la presa Yosocuta, Oaxaca

Abstract
The Yosocuta dam is located in the Mixteca region of Oaxaca, it was built for agricultural purposes and to control the flow of the Mixteco river to irrigate and extract water for human consumption to nearby municipalities. The present study focuses on breaking the dam curtain with the objective of knowing the magnitude of the event downstream, using the methodology of Nava et al. (2019) the construction of the hydraulic model simulation of surface runoff is carried out, resulting in around 26.06 hm3 being discharged into the river with a peak discharge of 3835 m3/s and flooding problems in the communities of San Marcos Arteaga, Natividad, Santo Domingo. Tonala and Yetla de Juarez.
