The role of leadership in the generation of technological innovations in Mexican family-owned companies

On the understanding that both leadership and technological innovation are substantial elements that contribute to the development and achievement in organizations, the purpose of this paper is to expose the different leadership styles and their impact on technological innovation processes in family businesses based on a review of the literature and scientific papers on the topic of study. In the first part of this article, the definition of the concept of leadership, leadership theories, followed by the contextualization of the family business, innovation, and technological innovation, and finally determining the role of leadership in the generation of technological innovations in family businesses are presented.
