Artificial intelligence in the new technological era

Abstract

The perspective that people have towards artificial intelligence (AI) has made researchers and companies reformulate, in what kind of technological era they are living, raising new terms such as augmented intelligence for the term to be adopted by people. With this, it is intended to investigate the existing literature to create a compendium of conceptualizations about artificial intelligence, augmented intelligence, as well as the elements involved in this concept, so that people can better understand what artificial intelligence refers to and the direction taken by these technologies, directing these efforts to clarify the technological uniqueness to make decisions. It is concluded that we are living an augmented intelligence and the course of several years is heading towards a technological singularity.
