The Influencing factors on skid resistance in flexible pavements: A literaty review

Flexibles Pavements having direct contact with vehicles need a specific characterization of the surface layer so that it has sufficient skip resistance to provide safety to road users. The skip resistance value is obtained for each unit of length of a pavement, from the operating conditions of the pavement, environment and vehicle. The article presents as a problem the friction developed by the tire and the pavement that evolves over time and the useful life of the latter, also with the aim of presenting, with theoretical bases exposed over the years, the various factors that influence this evolution of skid resistance: pavement surface, traffic, tires and climatic conditions.
