Evaluación de la problemática de abastecimiento y saneamiento de agua en el área periurbana del poniente de la ciudad de San Luis Potosí
Main Article Content
Abstract
The western area of the city of San Luis Potosí faces severe challenges in water supply and sanitation. Despite efforts invested in constructing infrastructure to address these issues, the problem persists, leaving residents in peri-urban areas without access to water and contending with sewage contamination. The objective of this work is to assess the water supply and sanitation conditions, enabling the application of nature-based solutions and utilizing a WEAP model to generate scenarios for water demand, availability, and quality. This evaluation highlights infrastructure deficiencies, the absence of wastewater treatment, and contamination of ecological flows.
