The use of ecoplastic helps to conserve soil moisture and reduce evaporation. The objective of this project was to manufacture ecoplastic at the laboratory level from different mixtures (5 mixtures) of organic compounds in different proportions and to evaluate their % water and humidity absorption. The % humidity was measured by the gravimetric method and the % water absorption by the gravimetric method after immersion. The Kruskal Wallis analysis indicated significant differences in the median % water and moisture absorption of the different blends of bioplastics tested. These findings support the relevance of ecoplastics as an alternative in agricultural practices.
