Fitting curves to physical-mechanical characterization data of ignimbrite rock
Main Article Content
Abstract
The present investigation focuses on the study of the ignimbrite quarries with which restorations are currently carried out in Morelia Michoacan, Mexico, in addition, results were obtained from stone samples with which some buildings were built and others from quarries that are currently located. closed. It is interesting that when obtaining the data from the different physical-mechanical tests and comparing them, a good mathematical model is obtained by fitting the curves to the test data, which allows estimating the Is(50), which is a mechanical classification index. of the stone, obtaining a quite acceptable correlation coefficient. The test of elongated and slanted particles was carried out, allowing us to understand the failure mechanics of the material.
