Implementation of Virtual Reality in BIM models for sustainability
Main Article Content
Abstract
The use of Virtual Reality has its roots in the sciences of visual communication, so its application in architectural projects distinguishes it from many other tools. In this article, the dimensions of the BIM (Building Information Modeling) methodology that allow the implementation of VR are determined, showing its possible benefits. The methodology to follow begins by presenting the general classification of three-dimensional VR systems, then its characteristics, advantages of integration with the BIM methodology and its challenges as a tool within a sustainable architecture are presented. Finally, the conclusions are presented.
